Driving through the iron gates of Lowndes Grove always sets the tone of a wedding day. You can't help but smile and be in awe of the grounds. The view of the vibrant green marsh grass on a breezy day and the sounds of boats enjoying a cruise down the Ashley River makes you want to hang a hammock between the majestic oaks and never leave! It was the perfect backdrop for Carrie + Ryan's day!
I'm always so excited when I get to work with Dana (http://danacubbageweddings.com) as a second shooter. Generally I've never met the couple and I am meeting them for the first time. I used to get so nervous, but now I love it! I really get to know the bride and groom individually, especially through observation and interactions they have with their family and friends.
I had so much fun getting to know these two! I have not laughed so hard in such a long time! It got me so excited for their first look because I couldn't wait to see these two together and how they interacted. I just knew our afternoon was going to be ALL laughter and LOTS of fun!
Carrie and Ryan's wedding day reminded of how unique we all are. It is so amazing to find that one person who just amplifies and compliments that uniqueness. I loved getting to know Carrie and Ryan as individuals, but as husband and wife...they are out of this world!
