The days leading up to Mary Katherine + Austin's Fripp Island wedding was a little stressful given the weather forecast. Originally the ceremony was planned to take place on the 12th hole of Fripp Island's Ocean Creek Golf Course, but plans change and it was a blessing in disguise! Their wedding day was somewhat of a steamy hot one and the groom kept saying how grateful he was for no rain, but he was just as grateful they decided to stick with the back up plan of having the ceremony in the chapel. The heat was pretty intense and the guys were a little uncomfortable in their suits. EVERYONE was happy with the indoor ceremony at Fripp Island's Chapel, and it really made for some sweet moments between dad, bride, and groom!
The day as a whole can be summed up as heartwarming! The bride's family and her close friends sipped on mimosas, while the groom and his close friends enjoyed sports and movies on the tube! It was the perfect beginning to ease the anticipation to seeing each other for the first time at the alter. Austin was all eyes for his bride the rest of the day!
The day went as planned, including one big surprise for the bride's sister! Sister and wifey had a quick court room wedding a little over a year ago, and as Mary Katherine stated in her speech, "They were deprived of a ceremony and reception". So, what does little sister do? She gifts them with a first dance! It was the sweetest moment and about halfway through the parent's joined them on the dance floor. I have to say I love organic moments, those raw authentic moments that can't be created, so needless to say I was SUPER giddy on the inside while documenting their first dance!
At the end of the night Mary Katherine + Austin left their reception through a tunnel of sparklers!
